Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The price for your private memorial service starts at $450. Additional items such as extra time for sailing, server, or flowers are additional.
A very good question on a boat! Of course you will want to wear something appropriate to the occasion, but keep safety and comfort in mind: high heel shoes are not recommended. Best to wear sneakers or comfortable shoes with rubber soles for traction. Keep in mind it's almost always a little cooler on the water, so bring an extra layer to stay comfortable. If it's a sunny day, sunglasses are a smart choice.
Major credit cards, Venmo and cash are all accepted.
We do not have a religious or other specific ceremony for our families. Why? Our wish is for our families - you - to have a memorial service for your loved one that best suits your family traditions and values. If you wish to have the captain read a prepared script that can be arranged. Any reasonable accommodation that can be made for your family will be made!
Definitely. Contact us to schedule your memorial service. A deposit of $150 will guarantee your preferred date and time.
Cancelations by your party will forfeit your deposit. If you are unable to make the date your deposit can be applied to an alternate date. Note that weather cancelations are at the discretion of Harbor Memorials. In the event of heavy rain, strong winds, or any condition which the captain deems unsafe to sail in, a rescheduled date can be made at no additional cost. Should the vessel become disabled for any reason, the same process applies.
Absolutely! Your highly qualified captain has decades of experience. The vessel is a large, sturdy one with all required safety equipment, including life jackets for all passengers and a life raft. Your safety and comfort is our top priority
Only special water-biodegradable urns can be dropped into the water. Ask us for details if you wish to do this.
For an additional fee we can provide flowers and/or a memorial wreath (which can be placed in the water). Also catered food and a server can be made available.
Harbor Memorials does not have a liquor license, so can neither sell nor serve alcohol. However, guests are welcome to bring drinks of their choice. Cups are provided.
Not at all. The vessel can be motored if you wish to remain move level on a breezy day. This choice is entirely up to you.
